Smethwick Foodbank’ COVID-19 update 6th October 2020

6th October 2020

New Opening Times

We have now supported  8,800 people since April.

Our new opening times for Foodbank clients will be 12-2pm Tuesday and Friday onwards at Holy Trinity Church.  The Foodbank Centre at Raglan Road will remain closed until further notice.

Emergency Food Parcels

Local Referral Agencies

We recommend ringing your normal local referral agencies for assessment for food; many are now reopening. They will provide support/advice not just access to emergency food. Some are now providing e-referral to Foodbank. Sandwell Local Welfare Provision  still provide assessment for emergency food and other support

Citizens Advice Foodbank Helpline

If your referral agency is closed or you are needing emergency food for first time; we recommend the  Citizens Advice Foodbank Helpline on 0808 208 2138. As well as emergency food assessment they will provide the normal advice and support that they so brilliantly offer. They will provide an e-referral that can be used at Smethwick Foodbank.

Partner Referral Agencies

We are accepting requests from agencies to become permanent e-referrers. Email [email protected] and we will send you details.
