Smethwick Foodbank COVID-19 update July 2021

Emergency Food Parcels

You will need to be assessed by a local agency to obtain a referral to Foodbank to collect Food at the door of Holy Trinity Church on Tuesdays and Fridays 12.00-14.00

Local Referral Agencies

We recommend ringing your normal local referral agencies for assessment for food; many are offering advice over the phone. They will provide support/advice not just access to emergency food. Some are now providing e-referral to Foodbank.

Sandwell Local Welfare Provision  still provide assessment for emergency food and other support

The following Smethwick  Charities are giving telephone advice of what services are available to local residents and may be able to make a referral to Foodbank

The Project

Help through Hardship (Citizens Advice Foodbank Helpline)

If you are in financial crisis and live in England or Wales, please call 0808 208 2138 for free (open Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm) to talk confidentially with a trained Citizens Advice adviser. They can help address your crises and provide support to maximise your income, help you navigate the benefits system, and identify any additional grants you could be entitled to. If needed, they’ll issue you with a voucher so you can get an emergency food parcel from your local food bank. Translators and Relay UK

Food Donations

These can be donated at our usual donation points and at

Holy Trinity Church, Tues and Fri  from 10.00 till 11.00 and Wed 10.00-14.00 (preferred time)

A food package contains all the items listed on our  Food donations page
